This stuff is slipery and sticky. As far as a lube goes it seems to me that I could tell it was working like it is supposed to. maybe i'm nuts but I thought I could feel a difference using this. This Ultimate Lube II Flows like a thicker oil not like grease. A little goes a long way. So far I have not noticed it picking up a lot of residue. But it seems like it could like any oil or moisture would. I cut the tip small so I could get a little out with a squeeze of the bottle.
