Almost impossible to install but ...

If you are a watchmaker you can do it with some thin, strong cord/string (2mm spectra) and a proper vice with foam jaws to hold both the pistol frame and spring-channel frame in place as you use the string (as a loop) and either a third hand (or foot in the long loop - as I did) to compress the string and spring with its slot end in place into its final position - you will have to move the compressed spring with slot end under tension from the string loop with a free hand into position under the recoil lever. Then simply pull the string through. Repeat on the other side. Easy.

Purchased my matte Tomcat used, it was manufactured 6/2019 and in almost pristine condition and the first thing I wanted to do is have new recoil springs put in. Had to take it to my local gunsmith who installed them while I waited. Thanks MGW.
