Fast shipping and the part fit in a GI RIA completely drop in and no need for fitting like the wilson combat mainspring housing. Also ordered the springfield pin kit also fit great.

Get rid of the ILS and reduce trigger pull

This mainspring housing does not have the ILS (Integral Locking System) key operated safety device.
The original ILS mainspring housing will only accept a proprietary mainspring which I believe is about 30 lbs?
Way too heavy!!!
Replacing the existing ILS mainspring housing gets rid of that so called safety feature and you can now replace the mainspring with a reduced power spring thus making the trigger pull much better.
BTW fit my Range Officer perfectly...Goodbye ILS and heavy trigger pull.

I bought this MS Housing, pin kit, and 19lb mainspring to replace the ILS (lawyer) lock on my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911. You would expect a factory part to bolt right up, but 1911 guys know the fit can vary. This housing slid right in with just a bit of persuasion, and was an exact fit...zero work required. It has a uniform finish and shipped fast. Thanks MGW. I appreciate your efforts.
