It can also be used to retain direct thread silencers. Unlike traditional 6-10 piece shim sets, the STD simplifies the process with 3 washers. The Silencer Timing Device is designed to fit either 1/2″ or 5/8″ threaded barrels seamlessly. Once installed, the washers form a tension that is strong enough to prevent silencer walk-off. With the Silencer Timing Device, installation is straightforward and hassle-free.
