Winchester Patent Date Pad
GWP01
The "period correct" Winchester recoil pad. This pad is made specifically for all pre-64 Winchesters including the Model 70, Model 12, Model 21, and all lever action and pump models. The pad is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER TRADE MARK PAT. JUNE 6, 1922." The pad measures 5 1/2" long and 1 7/8" wide (at the widest point). It comes with a 3/16" black "hard rubber" base and two "knockout" plugs for easy access to screw holes during installation. Screw holes are 3 1/8" apart. Total depth of the pad is 7/8". All pads come oversized and require fitting by qualified gunsmith.

Received it and was very impressed with the quality. It looks very much like that on my older Pre 64 firearms. Will be replacing one of the originals that is getting hard and no longer giving the cushioning that it is supposed to.

Wincherster red recoil pad

I build custom rifles and always choose this large pad.
It is easy to beltsand to shape and never separates.
I use stainless #10-24 socket head screws to join
to the walnut stock instead of wood screws.
The socket allows a lot of torque and easy to fasten with
a ball driver. Use a pilot hole.
These beautiful pads endure and are comfortable to use.
