Description: Marlin Model 60 150th Anniversary Walnut Stock. Crafted from american black walnut wood with a satin finish, this stock is designed for the Marlin Model 60 semi-automatic rifle. This special stock has the 150th Anniversary medallion embedded into the butt-end of the stock. The stock also features diamond checkering on the grip and the forearm. A rubber recoil pad is pre-installed.
Note: It is recommended that all Marlin parts be installed by a qualified and trained gunsmith.

Let down by poor fit

It's certainly a beautiful stock but the fit of the medallion is so so. Theres a noticeable gap between the medallion and the wood on one side. I asked Midwest if I got a bad one and they said they're all like that. To their credit they offered a refund but why send it back if they're all like that? Pricey but it's not like they're making them anymore. Sad end to a great American gunmaker but maybe Ruger will start making Marlin 22's someday. A fella can hope
