Perfect Replacement Part

The head of my circa 2000 Marlin 39A's firing pin retaining stud had snapped off, therefore I wanted to replace it. Although the rifle would cycle perfectly without the stud in place, the firing pin was prone to falling out when I removed the bolt. The MGW replacement pin was a perfect fit. The head of the pin is very thin by design and I was concerned that it would snap off during the install. I was careful during the installation and used a square of steel (to act like a nail set), so I didn't have to hit the head directly with the hammer. All went well! I purchased 2 studs just in case, but I only needed one.
