Having purchased a 770 recently, of course the first time I go shooting with it the latch breaks. After doing a search I came across this at MGW. I bought 2 as they are plastic and wanted to have a back up for future needs. The purchase was simple and it arrived at my door in a timely manner. fit perfectly, no instructions. Pretty easy to install, you just need to separate the stock from the barrel /receiver assembly, which is 3 bolts. then slide out the pin from up top and replace the latch assembly with new one. The only thing is that it is still made from plastic, probably going to break again.

I received the latch part in reasonable time. Personnel thought is shipping costs were a little high. Part fit and was as I expected it to be.
If you have a Remington rifle and this breaks I would recommend this part.
