I have thousands of rounds through my 1100 shooting trap. A couple of parts failed so, while I was procuring replacements, I bought a replacement firing pin to have as a backup. In comparing the new pin to the current pin (factory original from 1973), the wear on the original pin is almost non-existent... amazing. I wish Remington would have continued to build them as rugged as this. Maybe they'd still be in business (although NY would do what I could to prevent that).
