The Kick-Off Cover is just like the one that rotted away in the first place. I called Beretta and told them about it. They said it was a "consumable." I informed the guy that I had a 40 year old Browning that still had the butt stock pad on it and it didn't seem to be "consumable."
The product is a perfect fit and just like the one you are replacing......that got consumed.

This hard to find part required some fitment work as the new style part does not incorporate the two rounded cut outs near the bottom inside surface as shown in the picture which are necessary to compensate for the stock profile.

Beretta has a problem with the rubber used for the kick off cover and kick pad that they should take care of.

The A400 kick-off cover fits like original with a little care during fitting. Find online instructions for taking the stock off to replace this. The original was about 10 years old and I thought it would last as long as rubber butts, but it must be a softer material. I would expect this to last as least as long.
