I had to shorten the plug to make it fit. I haven’t had a chance to test the pistol.

was a tad to long when installing on my browing 1911.22 but with a quick sand-job, it fit fine. Not the first time i had to fit a part to my browing
Plug is too long for 1911-22

I order a lot of replacement parts from MGW and have always gotten exactly what I needed, with prompt shipment. However, these 3 recoil spring plugs for the Browning 1911-22 (not compact model) are 1/8" too long. It took a few tries to get the slide back on before I realized it was the too long plugs that were the problem. I've had this gun for a few years and never had a problem with it not going back together easily, until this.
Since I needed one "right now" and since they are plastic we were able to cut them shorter and make them work, so I didn't file for a replacement or credit, but MGW should check those plugs in stock because they are not the right part.
