browning went from metal to plastic for 16gauge A5. lost this one as when shot the cap flew off and spring sent it into the woods broken. i replaced it with a steel cap which worked past 5 years, like the steel better but the keyhole above the cap as you can visualize is that form to allow you to place the retainer stick in so game warden wont hassle iof you can put more than 2 shells. the steel magazine cap ring does not have that design to put the stick back in quickly. the steel ring magazine retainer you need a pliers and fight with the magazine spring to place the plug back in place. MGW is the first place that had this in 5 years of looking!
