They used to offer it, the buffer itself without the plate for $3/$5 on average. I think this is Brownings way of trying to make a monster profit on a little part that they know, wears and tears, and needs to be replaced. Imo the $55 cost with shipping is ridiculous for a part that was offered for $5 two years ago. Not a Fan in my browning guns anymore

Bought 2 of these. Read where some had failed from hunting in wet marshes and rainy areas during duck season. Also that cold and water draining down into the stock could cause brittleness and cause them to crack and break. They are Browning Buffer Assemblies and are exactly as used by Browning. Storing them as climate controlled as possible incase my Browning .10 gauge ever needs a replacement, thinking the shotgun and parts could be discontinued in the future. Service and shipping were great! Arrived in 2 days.
