Sig recommends replacing this spring assembly every 5000 rounds. I generally replace them at 2500-3000 rounds. Have measured the large spring at 2500 rounds and see a 3/8" compression difference compared to new. Will help manage recoil of the heavy slide to the frame - Keep the springs fresh. The firearm is too expensive to be cheap on recoil springs.
