I run my M&P 15-22 as a training rifle and put thousands of rounds through it annually having a good quality recoil spring in the rifle keeps it running right. MWG had the part in stock and shipped it quickly.

On my Smith& Wesson M&P 1522 my factory recoil spring wasn't that bad but I have fired thousands of rounds through it and I could tell that it needed a little bit. So I decided to buy a new recoil spring and I'm glad that I did because even though I didn't realize it, it did need a new recoil spring. If you lay the two recoil springs side by side, the new one was at least a quarter of an inch longer.

Yes this is the “latest blue spring “ for the 15/22.My rifle had a failure to eject issue & hoping this will fix the issue.Have not shot it yet that’s why it got 4 stars.Spring is definitely stiffer than original that came with the rifle.
