Descripton: Smith & Wesson Model 64/67/617/686 Extractor Rod. This quality stainless steel extractor rod is produced for the Smith & Wesson Model 64, 67, 617 686, K and L frame revolvers chambered in .22 LR, .38 Special, 10mm, and .40 S&W. The extractor rod, located within the cylinder, applies force to the extractor during operation of the revolver. This piece is perfect as a spare, immediate replacement, or for a workshop tune up.

686 Extractor rod Tube

I was having problems with the cylinder on my S&W 686 jamming when I attempted to open it. I noticed the extractor rod tube was nicked at the opening, and this prevented the extractor rod from fully extending. The Extractor Rod Tube I purchased fit my 686 perfectly and completely solved the jamming problem.

Bought used 686 years ago and someone had used pliers or something to take cylinder apart . I’d looked for a replacement for a long time and found 1 at mgw . It fit perfect was what I needed made gun look whole again . Yeah ! Glad to have found it and mgw made it happen
